Retail Strategy

LionPride Community

LionPride would like to make a difference to the economic landscape of South Africa and thereby directly affect the lives of its investors/shareholders.  LionPride’s aspirational target is to secure 1 million investors who have generally not directly participated in investing. One of the key reasons that Black Economic Empowerment has failed to achieve the objectives of government is that almost all transactions are heavily debt funded and have benefited the select few.

Impact

Success will mean that LionPride will do what no other South African Company has done.  Major companies listed on the stock exchange  have fewer than 50 000 individual investors. For LionPride, the equity accumulation will be immense, 1 million people contributing R1000 over 1 year, equates to R1 billion before costs.

We want to hear from you if you are a black South African and…
  • wants to participate in BEE opportunities
  • wants to build long-term wealth (rather than short-term gains)
  • wants to invest for your child’s university education
  • wants to invest for your first overseas holiday
  • wants to invest for a deposit on your first home
